Who is Reha?

Reha Kansara is a self-shooting multimedia journalist reporting worldwide, and presenting radio and video for the BBC. She has cultivated a niche in online human rights, particularly in Latin America and South Asia but has also served as the BBC’s Africa Correspondent reporting on the pandemic, the conflict in Tigray and Darfur amongst other things.

Her first TV documentary looked at the rise of racism in the UK, exploring what it means to be British in ‘Go back to where you came from’ for BBC Three/iPlayer.

In 2020, Reha was named one of Radio Academy’s 30 under 30 and shortlisted for Amnesty International’s ‘Gaby Rado: Young Journalist’ award. In 2021, she was part of the award-winning team that made the BBC’s ‘Anti-vax files’.

She is a true team player, equally adept at making her colleague’s work shine and generating original ideas with a strong sense of social justice and journalistic integrity.”
